Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 July 2026

Summary

The Solid App is a tool that helps you track and prepare your business numbers. It is not financial, tax or accounting advice, and it does not replace your accountant. The figures it shows are based on what you enter — you are responsible for checking them before you rely on them, invoice, quote or lodge anything.

These terms govern your use of The Solid App and our website at thesolid.app, operated by The Solid App (ABN 76 932 932 727), referred to here as “we” or “us”. By joining the waitlist or using the application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What The Solid App is

The Solid App is a tool for tracking your jobs, costs and margins — built to make it easy to see where you’re at on the go, without getting stuck in the paperwork. It helps you stay on top of your numbers and have them ready when you need them. It does not connect to your bank accounts, move your money, or lodge your tax, and it does not provide financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.

Not financial or tax advice

The figures, margins, summaries and BAS or GST amounts shown in the application are estimates and working aids, calculated from the information you enter. They are not advice and are not a substitute for a registered tax agent, accountant or other professional. You are responsible for checking every figure before you rely on it — including before you invoice a client, quote a job, or lodge anything with the ATO. Decisions you make using the application are your own.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information, and check the figures the application produces from it.
  • Keep your login secure and don’t share your account.
  • Only enter information you are entitled to use, including any details about your clients.
  • Use the application lawfully, and don’t attempt to disrupt, copy, reverse-engineer or misuse it.

Your data and privacy

The information you enter remains yours. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. The Solid App — including its software, design and content — remains ours; using it gives you permission to use the application, not ownership of it.

Availability

The application is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. It is still in development, and we may add, change, suspend or remove features, or interrupt the service, at any time. We do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the application — including errors in figures, loss of data, or the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or the cost of doing so.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always shown here with its date, and continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
